Dear Mom, Dad, + Sis,
No I do not have anything to write about but thought a letter may help you to stop worrying a little.
The mail man was good to see again today, not extra good, as I did not get any letters, but I had been looking for a package this past week and today it came. Thanks a million it was the one with the stationary in it as you can see.
We have had some of the most beautiful days in the past any one could ask for. I hope I will be like this when I get my pass.
We have some of the finest officers in the outfit that a man could ask to be under, our Maj. was just in here talking to us and he is just one of the boys. I have been with him a few times and he said we have a good crew. You know it makes a man feel good to have some one tell him he is doing a good job. None of us are brave, we are just trying to be good soldiers and doing our job the best we can.
You folks back home are about ready for supper, but as I am in a different part of the world it is time for me to go to bed, so until tomorrow, good night and God bless you all.
All my love,
Walter
PS Thanks again for the package
